As season 3 of “9-1-1: Lone Star” arrives, a comedian told us about Rob Lowe’s “annoyances” behind the scenes.
It is in a rather chilling context that season 3 of “9-1-1: Lone Star” starts on RTL-TVI. Indeed, on December 29, the death of Tyler Sanders came back into the news, which appears in episode 14 of this same season. Also seen in “The Rookie” and “Fear The Walking Dead”, the young actor lost his life on June 16, at the age of 18, at his home in Los Angeles, and we now know that it was a Fentanyl overdose, powerful painkiller, which prevailed. It was also this opioid that killed (among others) the singer Prince in April 2016. In “9-1-1: Lone Star”, Tyler played Brian, the son of a man who, once upset, leaves explode his rage, which often gets him into trouble, and ends up being murderous.
Unable to stop this madman, Owen, central character of the series played by Rob Lowe, can only think of his own angry impulses, he who, as a reminder, is the only one in his barracks to have survived the attacks of September 11 . When Marjan (Natacha Karam) asks him if he is still in therapy for this problem, he replies that he no longer needs it. But he is lying to himself, and he knows it… A comedian from the series, who wishes to remain anonymous, told us that in private, Rob Lowe also loses his temper very easily and is not the most comfortable… This which is hard to believe as the actor, who will be 59 years old on March 17, is always smiling and cordial in public. “I’ve seen him get mad at his assistant more than once, and he didn’t hold back,” our source told us, who is quick to point out that his brother, Chad, who has directed two of the eighteen episodes of this season 3, is on the other hand a cool.
The desire to reveal it is too strong: at the end of the season, Owen visits his father, Walter, whom he has not seen for many years and who is in a hospital in Los Angeles. This one is embodied by Robert Pine, 81, known for having been Sergeant Getraer in the series “CHiPs”, and for being the father of… Chris Pine! On screen, Walter announces to Owen that he has a half-brother, who is played by… Chad! Logic. The brothers had never given the reply, but Chad, Rob’s junior by four years, has already directed him in the series “The Grinder” and “Brothers & Sisters”. “As you can imagine, it was not too difficult a task for us to play brothers,” commented the latter. “To deliver on screen all the history that we have in common, it is really one of the heights of my career.” Besides, the funny thing is that Robert Pine is no stranger to Chad either. “Thirty years ago, we did a play together, where he played my father. It was very special to find him.”
If we revealed some elements of this season 3, we will keep silent about what happens to barracks 126, which was in bad shape, financially, at the end of season 2. “We are six months later, and things are still not going as everyone hoped,” said showrunner Tim Minear. Season 4 begins on January 17 on the American channel Fox.
