A new karaoke feature for Apple Music and a game streaming app from the Netherlands. These are the apps of the week.
Apple Music
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can now download the update to iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2. Not only can you access the brand new Freeform brainstorming app, but Apple Music has something new as well.
With the music app, you can now do karaoke. With this feature, you can see the lyrics on the screen. Plus, you also get a slider to lower the voices so you can hear yourself better.
Not all music is supported by Apple Music Sing as the feature is officially called. Apple has therefore created several playlists with songs that work, with songs by Adele, ABBA, Beyoncé and Mariah Carey, among others.
Unfortunately, Apple Music Sing doesn’t work on older devices. You need at least an iPhone 11, a third-generation iPhone SE, or a fast iPad.

vampire survivors
Start in the game Vampire survived with a few bats coming your way, but soon you’re surrounded by hundreds of monsters. Luckily, you have enough resources to defend against it.
You just have to use one finger for this, because you can enter vampire survivors let the hero walk alone. The attacks happen automatically. The fun in the game is to gain experience and then choose the right upgrades for your character. Choose a new weapon, upgrade a weapon in your hands, or get more hit points.
This game shouldn’t rely on graphics quality, because vampire survivors looks very old fashioned. This ensures that the game continues to run smoothly while hundreds of enemies can be seen on screen at the same time.

Utomik is a Dutch game streaming service that now also offers an Android app. Through this app, you can stream more than two hundred different games.
Some of them can be controlled via the touch screen, for example Mini meter. For others, a controller is needed, for example Subway: last light. It can be a physical controller that you connect via Bluetooth, but you can also activate a virtual controller so that buttons appear on the screen.
Utomik’s offer does not contain the latest games. They are mostly smaller titles from smaller game studios that are playable. Not all genres are equally well represented. However, the service regularly expands the range.
Utomik works on devices running Android 9 or higher. A subscription to Utomik for streaming on Android costs 8.99 euros per month.
