To unlock Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell, players must go on a long hunt at the icy lake of Mount Moonspell.
Resembling the combination of a mangy gremlin and a ninja turtle, Gav’Et-Oni is a playable character featured in Legacy of the Moonspell of Vampire Survivors. Gav’Et-Oni’s starting weapon is Mille Bolle Blu, an armament that functions similarly to the magic wand by firing projectiles at the nearest enemy target. However, the main difference is that the Mille Bolle Blu’s bubbles persist after hitting an enemy, dealing bonus damage to those who pass through the hit area. This weapon can be transformed into Boo Roo Boolle by reaching max level alongside the Spellbinder, a passive item unlocked by reaching level 7 with the Runetracer.
Unlike McCoy-Oni, whose process of obtaining is tied to a complex series of weapon evolutions, Gav’Et-Oni is unlocked after players successfully kill a total of 6,000 Kappas in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell. Not to be confused with the Twitch emote used on the internet, the Kappa is a DLC enemy mob that is said to be a “slimy bottom of the yokai world”. Those familiar with Japanese folklore might recognize this creature as a demonic entity that lures and drowns humans in lakes.
Unlock Gav’Et-Oni in the Vampire Survivors DLC
True to folklore, Kappas will mostly spawn around the frozen lake landmark on Mount Moonspell in Vampire Survivors. According to YouTube content creator Nuzzy, this icy lake is in the northwest corner of the Vampire Survivors stage map, near the Attractorb spawn point. If players travel to this location and stand near the center of the lake, hordes of Kappas will begin to spawn and attack. As stated above, the next objective is to kill 6,000 Kappas to unlock Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors. Fortunately, this exploit does not need to be performed all at once. Instead, casual players can stretch this objective over multiple runs if they’re not in a rush.
On the other hand, those looking to unlock and play as Gav’Et-Oni as soon as possible in the Vampire Survivors DLC are encouraged to equip Four Seasons, Menya Moonspell’s starter weapon. For those unfamiliar with Menya, she’s a playable character unlocked by evolving Miang’s starter weapon, Silver Wind.
Using the Silent Old Sanctuary Arcana, fans must continue to farm enemies and evolve Four Seasons by combining the weapon with Candelabrador and Spinach at max level. The result is Godai Shuffle, an extremely powerful weapon that can instantly obliterate Kappas’ screens in seconds. With this weaponry, killing 6,000 Kappas and unlocking Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors is virtually effortless.
