Syfy is airing the last two episodes of “Legacies”, the spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” this Tuesday evening. Find out how the fantasy series ends.
Syfy broadcasts this Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. the final episode of Legacies, the spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. For 4 seasons, viewers have followed the adventures of Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the tribrid daughter of the original vampire Klaus, and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and Josie Saltzman (Kaylee Bryant), the twins of Alaric ( Matthew Davis), within the Salvatore School of Mystic Falls, reserved for young vampires, wizards, and other supernatural beings.
It was last May that the CW, the channel that broadcasts the series in the United States, announced to everyone’s surprise the end of the series created by Julie Plec, when the filming of season 4 of Legacies was already finished. .
Luckily, the channel had warned the teams of a potential cancellation, which had allowed the writers to offer an end to the season which could also serve as the end of the series. This final episode thus made it possible to conclude the stories of each of the characters.
After Ethan’s (Leo Howard) funeral, Alaric makes a drastic decision. The director has indeed realized that he has failed to protect the students, and therefore prefers to close the doors of the establishment to save them. A surprising choice that MG (Quincy Fouse) and Hope had a hard time accepting.
They will therefore try to convince Alaric and Lizzie to stay and save the school, in vain. Many students will find themselves with nowhere to go if the school closes. But father and daughter are tired of fighting and want to move on.
According to them, the school is dangerous for the students. Each time they solve a problem, a new one is added. But MG explains to them that the students are not safe outside the walls of the establishment.
Finally, Lizzie and Alaric reconsider their decision thanks to a letter from Josie, who is in a school in Belgium. Alaric therefore announces to the students that the school will remain open, but that he will no longer be a director, because he wants to tell the story of all the creatures he has encountered in his life so that supernatural beings are better prepared. in future battles. He gives way to Caroline, who therefore returns to Mystic Falls after years of absence.
Hope has collected her father’s ashes and wants to spread them around the school, her father having founded the establishment for her. But with the announcement of the closure, the young woman hesitates. She will therefore call on Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) to help her find him in limbo.
If he agrees to help her, he still wants to warn her that everything he does for her has a price. He is slowly losing his humanity. But he knows he still loves her, and wants to give her this gift.
Back in limbo, he finds Ethan (Leo Howard) who refuses to go to the other side. Landon then asks her for help in finding Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Unfortunately, Hope’s father has found peace, which means Landon won’t be able to bring him back.
But he managed to find a solution. Ethan went in peace to find Klaus, who left a message for his daughter. “My dearest Hope, my littlest wolf, my miracle child“, he said to her.
“What a gift to be able to leave you a last message. I want to tell you that you will make mistakes in your life, because you are a Mikaelsson. You will go through hard times, because no one really knows how to use a power like yours..”
“You will find love and you will lose it, for such is the burden of immortality. But the most important thing in life is that you live it, because you are my peace. And I regret a lot of things, but I don’t regret a single moment spent with you. I love you so much. Forever and ever.“
Following this message, Hope decides to spread her father’s ashes in the school lake. Landon joins her and they promise to always stay in touch.
On the heart side, MG and Lizzie finally formalize their relationship, while Kaleb (Chris Lee) and Cleo (Omono Okojie) choose to live their love story to the full, no matter what the future holds for them.
For his part, Jed (Ben Levin), who has discovered that he is no longer a werewolf, decides to leave school to go on an adventure with Ben (Zane Phillips). In the last minutes of this final episode, the students and the headmistress come together to welcome the new promotion of the Salvatore school.
