When she arrives at the villa she has reserved, she realizes that it is already rented by someone… She has to share this villa with Charlie, a man as cynical as he is attractive. A squabble will set in between the two roommates, and you don’t need to be a great diviner to know how it will all end… Kat Graham, known for her role as Bonnie in Vampire Diaries, has been cast as Julia to give the reply to Tom Hopper, well known for his role of Luther in Umbrella Academy. Tom Hopper leaves his wife Laura in the film Love in the Villa on Netflix

Indeed, Laura Hopper, married to the actor since 2014, lends her features to Cassie in the romantic comedy Love in the Villa. She plays Charlie’s companion, who is therefore left by the latter, embodied on screen by her own husband; a funny situation to say the least! Besides, it was Laura Hopper who spoke to her husband about the scenario of Love in the Villaas the actor tells the American magazine Entertainment Weekly : “She tends to look at a lot of the scripts that are sent to me. She said, ‘I just read this really good script called Love in the Villa. It’s a really sweet romantic comedy and you should read it.’ I read it and I accepted; I thought the film was really great.”

Tom Hopper opens up about his relationship with his wife Laura

If it could be difficult to shoot with someone you know perfectly, and in particular in a role like this, Tom Hopper still enjoys playing alongside his wife : “I love working with my wife. She’s so funny. She’s a really good comedic actress. What was really weird was that I broke up with her in the movie. While we were doing it, I I was like, ‘It’s really weird to play this scene.’ She’s so different from that in real life, but she loves these characters, these comedic roles. It was such a blessing for us because we didn’t have never really done that before. We’ve played in the same projects before, but we’ve never interacted.” A beautiful declaration of love which gives even more to discover their complicity on the screen in Love in the Villa !
