We wanted to split it up, a black and white side and a colorful side, but we couldn’t figure out how that happens without it being incongruous,” she continued. “The idea became that Enid has done it herself.
The focal point of the room is a spider web-shaped window, which complements Merlina’s more gothic design, as evidenced by the church-like appearance of the stained glass windows.

It has the gothic fireplace, but also a 1960s modernist desk, a very James Bond-esque chair, and a modern laptop. The actual room is this crazy mix of Rococo and even Chinese architecture. That room was meant to be the center of everything. The different styles come from there
Scruton further explained some set design references, including those from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Y beetlejuice.
In town, many of the storefronts were ripped straight from Chas Addams cartoons. There’s a florist, a shoe store, a thrift store,” he described, adding that metal weather vanes bolted to the wall adorn the Weathervane Cafe. “In Principal Weems’ office, there’s a little shrunken head that references ‘ beetlejuice
