Last 3 June debuted on Prime Videos the third season of the wild series “The Boys“, taken from the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and signed by Eric Kripke. At the head of the ramshackle group of vigilantes, the Boys of the title, there is Billy Butchera former CIA agent obsessed with ending the supremacy of mythomaniac superheroes.

Movie remake with Sylvester Stallone “Dredd – I Am The Law” of 1995, directed by Peter Travis and fromAlex Garland from “Ex Machina” (uncredited here), is a no-holds-barred action adaptation of the eponymous comic book series Lawbringer of the fictitious, dystopian metropolis Mega City One. Urban, hidden under the peculiar helmet of Joseph Dreddis confronted with the riots in a 200-story high-rise apartment building run by drug trafficker Ma Ma (Lena Headey).

The chronicles of Riddick
Second film of the trilogy dedicated to Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel), after “Pitch Black”and directed by David Twohysees the New Zealand interpreter step into the role of Lord Vaako, bitter enemy of the anti-hero protagonist, the leader Necromonger who accompanies the feral Lady (Thandie Newton) and tries to manipulate Riddick’s actions for his shady purposes. Urban also returns in the third film of the franchise, “Riddick” (2013).

In this film adaptation of the Korean comic of the same name by Hyung Min Woo, directed by Scott Stewart, the “priest” of the title is a vampire hunter chasing a pack of bloodsuckers who have taken his niece hostage. Urban joins Paul Bettany in the horror role of Black Hatinitially a priest and also vampire hunterbut then commander of the army of bloodthirsty creatures.
Pathfinder – The Legend of the Viking Warrior
One of Urban’s starring roles, the one played in this film by Marcus Nispel that mixes adventure with the historical setting, inspired by the distant a “The Ice Archer” (1987). Urban is Ghostsson of the leader of a band of berserker vikings who travel across the coasts of North America to seek a new homeland and inevitably clash with a native tribe.

Thriller in a police frame directed by Johnny Martinis the story of the Homicide Detective Will Ruiney (Urban), fresh from recent trauma (the killing of his wife) who teams up with a pugnacious reporter (Brittany Snow) and with his old partner, the investigator Archer (Al Pacino) for an investigation with personal and increasingly disturbing contours.
The invisible dragon
Remake of the 70s movie “The Invisible Dragon”based on a short story by SS Field and Seton I. Miller, the family film directed by David Lowery which mixes live action and CGI narrates the friendship between the giant and sweet winged creature of the title and little Pete; a relationship that is soon challenged by Karl Urban, aka Gavinone ruthless woodcutter that he intends to capture the enchanted beast.
Action thriller directed by Isaac Florentinea Bulgarian-US co-production, is a dark story that recalls the incipit of the series with Liam Neeson “Taken”: here, however, it is Antonio Banderas who, shocked by the murder of his wife and daughter, finds in plans for revenge the only reason to survive, but he soon slips into a spiral of self-destruction. Urban is a police officer, the righteous Hank Strode.
