Babylon Featurette Highlights Margot Robbie’s Casting To Brad Pitt

the Damien Chazelle-directed an epic period film, Babylon, follows the story of the rise and fall of several ambitious dreamers during a time of unchecked excess and villainy in 1920s Hollywood. With a film tackling early Hollywood, it’s only reasonable that the director chose well-known names from the modern era, with ensemble cast like Margot Robbie, brad pittand Tobey Maguire, which, in retrospect, doesn’t need much of an introduction for some to get familiar with. The film arguably boasts the biggest cast, and Paramount Pictures recently released a new featurette that captures the entire opulent cast in a two-minute clip.

It’s safe to say that Chazelle enjoys putting Hollywood front and center. After presenting a golden version of the film industry in La La Land, the filmmaker has decided to go back centuries and look at the passage from the era of silent to talking. The featurette, which aims to shed light on the cast that brought the Babylon movie to life, the director talks about how the movie boasts the biggest cast in terms of speaking parts while still managing to fill the film with spectacular people. As Pitt, who played Jack Conrad in the film, said, Babylon has many characters performing, with “700 excess in the background” going in and out of frame. In a bid to surprise the audience, Chazelle explained that the set is a statement in itself. The manager also said that Babylon is the most ambitious project he’s ever attempted – and, yes, it includes a lot of household names.

Written and directed by the Oscar-winning director himself, Babylon is set in 1920s Los Angeles, a time when silent films fell out of favor. The comedy-drama is directed by Robbie, Pitt and Narcos: Mexicoit is bald diego.
