The vampire cinema has very famous exponents. American capitalism, especially since the 1980s, has fostered hyper-individualism and through Hollywood has sold the idea of the American Way as the greatest aspiration that can be had. Twilight vampires may have resonated because they had the wealth and beauty associated with high status.
The protagonists of Twilight, Robert Pattinson Y Kristen Stewart, managed to overcome those roles and venture into both blockbusters and independent cinema, and both have been recognized by critics. Pattinson appeared this year in batman- 85%reboot of the famous DC Comics superhero, and Stewart has participated in projects such as Charlie’s Angels – 31%, Spencer- 85% Y Crimes of the future- 53%.
We don’t know if there will be more movies of Twilight in the future, but no one can deny that they marked an era. The last years of the first decade of the 2000s and the first years of the second decade were marked by this vampire saga for teenagers, and it had a great influence on later productions.
