Vampire Academy: J. August Richards and nine more cast additions to Julie Plec’s new vampire series

Here are the next vampires ready to conquer the small screen. The streaming video service Peacock unveiled the cast from Vampire Academythe TV series based on the homonymous saga of successful novels by Richelle Mead and with the former creator and showrunner of the Vampire Diaries (and its franchise) Julie Plec at the helm together with his longtime collaborator Marguerite MacIntyre. Among the protagonists are the former actor of Angel J. August Richards (right in the photo above), the veteran of grown-ish Andrew Liner and many new faces. Vampire Academy: The plot

Described as a romance, friendship, death, sex and scandal story, Vampire Academy is set in a world of privilege and glamor and follows two young women linked by a friendship that transcends their social classes as they prepare to make their debut in society as true vampires. The drama, which combines the elegance of aristocratic romanticism with the supernatural emotions of the vampire genre, is set at the prestigious St. Vlademir Academywhich is not just any boarding school: it is in fact a hidden place where aristocratic vampires are educated and half-human teenagers train to protect them from the savage Strigoi, vampires who would like to see them destroyed.

The cast and characters

Here are all the actors announced and descriptions of the related characters.

– Sisi Stringer (Mortal Kombat) And Daniela Nieves (Save Me) will play respectively the protagonists Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir (left and center in the photo above) The former is a hybrid Guardian half human half vampire known as Dhampir. Ardent and outspoken, Rose is a true fighter in spirit and practice. The second is a royal vampire of the Moroi bloodline.

Andrew Liner will play the charming, loyal and popular Mason Ashford, competing with Rose for the role of First Guardian. He and Rose are friends but he hopes to look like something more to him.

J. August Richards will play Victor Dashkov, a noble Moroi vampire with a heart of gold who is highly regarded for his role as adviser and political strategist to the Moroi dignitaries. Fiercely loyal, she uses his intelligence and influence to protect what he values ​​most: the well-being of her husband and two adoptive daughters, as well as the betterment of her Moroi community.

– Kieron Moore he will play Dimitri Belikov, the model guardian Dhampir: lethal, disciplined, discreet and totally dedicated to his role as the bodyguard of the Moroi in power, the “good” deadly vampires of his world.
