Wednesday: where have we seen the actors before?




Today is the release of the long-awaited series by Tim Burton, wednesday (Wednesday in VF), on Netflix. This new series will focus on the Addams Family, and especially on the character of Wednesday.

We told you about it in February 2021the new Netflix series titled wednesday focuses on the character of the same name, eldest daughter of the notorious Addams Family. While she has difficulty integrating, she will finally find a new school where she can, a priori, be herself.

This series was highly anticipated, and has a four-star cast. Let’s find out where we’ve seen the actors before!

In the main role, we find Jenna Ortega. Previously, she played the young version of Jane in Jane The Virgin from 2014 to 2019, and more recently Ellie Alves in You. She also has a great dubbing career since she played Princess Isabel in the Disney Channel animated series. Elena of Avaloras well as Brooklynn in Jurassic World: Cretaceous Campon Netflix.

Morticia Addams, Wednesday’s mother, is played by Catherine Zeta-Jones. She starred in several blockbusters as Ocean’s Twelve, The Legend of Zorro or RED 2. On the small screen, she was Olivia de Havilland in feudVicki Ellis in Queen America and Dr. Vivian Capshaw in Prodigal Sound. In 2023, she will also be in the future series National Treasure: Edge of History (Lost Treasures: The Secret of Montezuma in French).

Wednesday’s father, Gomez Adams, is played by Luis Guzman. Previously we could see it in Hightown where he played Jorge, Shameless where he was Mikey O’Shea or else Narcos where he played José Rodríguez Gacha in 2015.

Gwendoline Christie will portray Wednesday School principal Larissa Weems.
Is it still necessary to present it? She was Brienne of Tarth in Game Of Thrones, a role that revealed her to the general public. Recently, she shone as Lucifer in The Sandman on Netflix. She also starred in Severancereleased this year, and earlier in Top of the Lake.
In the cinema she was, among other things, Captain Phasma in the new trilogy Star Wars.

Hunter Doohan will be Tyler Galpin.
We have seen it before in Truth Be Told where he played Warren as a teenager, as well as in Your Honor where he was Adam Desiato.

He will play Xavier Thorpe. Percy Hynes White is a young Canadian actor whose head may tell you something. He’s had quite a few roles already.
He was notably Andy Strucker, one of the main roles in The Giftedseries on mutants from 2017 to 2019. Since 2021, he plays Elliott Wazowski in Pretty Hard Caseswhich we were telling you about here.
He also had small roles in Rookie Blue, defiance, Saving Hopethe reboot of The Twilight Zone, Transplant or Nurses.
In film, he appeared in Night at the Museum: The Secret of the Pharaohs.

Emma Myers will play Enid Sinclair.
Given her young age, she only had a few roles in little-known series, such as The Baker and The Beauty Where dead of night, a series only available on Snapchat.

Joy Sunday will be Bianca Barclay.
She could be seen before in Yas Kween in 2018 where she played Ria, Good Trouble in 2019 or even in the last season of Dear White People in 2021.

Naomi J. Ogawa will play Yoko Tanaka.
She previously only starred in one film in 2020, skylines.

Christina Ricci will be Marilyn Thornhill.
Maybe you remember she was the one who played Wednesday Addams in the movie. The Addams Family from 1991! She therefore returns in this series centered on her former character, but in a completely different role.
His career is long, but in playoffs we can mention recently Yellowjackets, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, Saving Grace or Ally McBeal.

Johnna Dias-Watson will be Divina.
She has so far only acted in one film in 2020, First Love.

Oliver Watson will be Kent.
We could see him recently as Tristan in the movie The School of Good and Evil on Netflix.
